A small tribe in southwest Ethiopia that celebrates its festivals with an astonishing display of body painting. The men of the tribe cover their bodies with a white paste made of chalk and water, adding designs in black and ocher. The photographs are by Carol Beckwith and Angela Fisher, who have carried out extensive anthropological investigations in the 30 years that they have chronicled ceremonies throughout Africa.
