Paulo Pasta (Sao Paulo, 1959). A Brazilian painter who works in the abstract style of his country, characterized by the use of intense colors. In Cuerpos Pintados, nevertheless, he experimented with a more austere and conceptual visual language, transcribing fragments of poetry by Brazilian writers in handwriting onto white backgrounds, against which his models blended their bodies, or projecting white letters on the bodies in darkness.
