Anamaría McCarthy (New York, 1955). a Peruvian photographer raised in the United States who has concentrated her attention on the female figure, developing her own visual language through the photographic image. Her work, which includes projects done at Cuerpos Pintados, has been a constant exorcism of the tragedies of her own life, in which testimony and metaphor are combined with pain and hope.
