Arcangelo Ianelli (Sao Paulo, 1922). A Brazilian artist with a distinguished career who, in 1990, began to concentrate on color, moving beyond the human figure and forms he previously preferred, to change his emphasis to an investigation of chromatic values. In Cuerpos Pintados, he incorporated the skin of the models into his abstract universe, allowing the curves of the bodies to provide form and texture to his characteristic sequences of tone.
